Men's Health

Ageing changes our performance. Physically we lose strength, suppleness, energy, and stamina. Our mental processes, too, may decline. From the mid-twenties hormones reduce in intensity by about 2% per year. Lower testosterone, for example, reduces mental activity. Lowered thyroid levels lead to slower thought processing, decreased reaction time, lower concentration levels, and poor memory. Less cortisol affects concentration, increases absent mindedness and, under stress, results in increased memory loss.

Yet it is our mature male population that have the experience, skills and wisdom to hold significant roles in family, the community and business. So maintaining performance is critical.

Keeping “at the top of your game” has personal, professional and financial benefits. While diet, exercise and lifestyle are major contributors to health and well-being they do not address the fundamental physiological changes of ageing.

Maintaining (or retrieving) mental sharpness, energy and stamina is possible. Managing testosterone levels, for example, helps mood, energy, libido as well as decreasing cardiovascular risk factors. Through supplementation hormone levels can be re-balanced and therefore optimal health achieved.
