Hormones can be thought of as messengers. They carry “instructions” in chemical format from one cell to another. They influence everything - from mood and energy, to ovulation, milk production, heart rate, appetite, digestion, sleep, and thousands more functions in the brain and body. Although there are more than a hundred hormones in the body, there are some that you may be more familiar with.
